Many of the earlier rinks were built by local municipal governments and were inevitably subsidized in order to survive. For many, the lack of proper management led to under utilization of the rink and insufficient income.
We reveal in our ice skating rink feasibility study the viability of expanding the offerings of the rink. By including spaces and activities that complement the figure skating and hockey skating venue, with other sports activities prevalent within the market area, the income potential is enhanced.
With our management and business plans in place the rink can truly become 'the place to be' in the community.
David R. Schleigh draws upon his experience of ice rink design and construction to guide the ice rink architect and ice rink engineer to create energy efficient ice rinks that provide operating costs that are much lower than previous ice rinks.
